[good burgers are the best compensation for things, hopefully for this, too.
thus, riku leaves to go face the wrath of the evil hair dresser guys. considering how exasperated he appears after coming to the spot, it ended about as fun as expected. as soon as he spots ryuuga, he heads on over.]
[managing to get through a plate that fast? not bad, not bad at all. riku smirks a little in return.]
Planning on it. Don't expect me to hold back.
[well, he doesn't plan on eating ryuuga out of house and home. that said, the burgers here are good, he is pretty hungry and he isn't the one paying. a couple burgers are definitely gonna happen so let's get things started. riku begins walking on over to the registers.]
[Though this feels almost normal, which in and of itself for someone like him is totally weird. He does follow Riku up, though. Whatever he ended up order, his wallet could take it.]
[lucky for him, riku isn't a complete ass. that said, he is also damn hungry so he will still order a decent amount and doesn't hesitate at all when it's his turn to order.]
Hey. Lemme get a number 5 [double quarter pound cheeseburger with bacon, a special sauce and caramelized onions with fries and a drink], two orders of nuggets and a chocolate shake.
[this should do. for now. there might still be a second round of ordering. running around and stunt doubling takes a lot out of you so you need all the calories you can get. ...ignoring the nutritional value of said calories, but hey, at least the unhealthiness tastes good. so worth it.]
Though wow, that's a decent amount of food. Granted he could pack that much away himself just as easily, even with the appetizer from earlier. It's about this point that Ryuuga steps up, lifting a hand.]
I'll be covering it. Also a #3 for me [Two cheeseburgers, still decently sized, fries and a drink] and a strawberry shake.
[They probably seem nuts to the cashier for ordering so much food, but they are paying for it, and it seems that Ryuuga's credits are good for it (thank god for two jobs and technically not needing much to live off of in the first place), so he could afford to splurge once in a while. Generally it did tend to be on food, but that was the way that things turned out a lot of the time.]
[the cashier definitely looks impressed, at least. can these guys REALLY eat all that? ah well, if it gets paid for then that's what counts.
riku gives his own look at the order and it's one of approval. a fellow big eater and one who keeps his word even with that hefty a meal? worthy of some brownie points.]
Good choice. [any of their stuff is, really.] Thanks again for buying.
[buying lunch brings out that inner polite riku that rarely comes out. hey, free food is worth the niceness.]
[Hey, gotta get that energy back for hunts somehow, right? And even then, by this point it's more out of habit than anything else. The big eater thing, I mean. He does give a bit of a smile.]
Don't worry about it.
[And he genuinely means that.
So! Definitely going to head back to where he was sitting before with everything once it's up. Aw yis time to dig in.]
riku sits opposite ryuuga and digs on in himself. mmm so tasty even if it's about as unhealthy as it gets. since sitting in silence isn't the most entertaining thing in the world, he decides to start up a conversation after swallowing this current mouthful.]
So what job pays so well that you'd treat people to lunch without batting an eye?
Two jobs, actually. That probably explains it better.
[Though at the very least one of them gives him a chance to figure out patrol routes (not that they were really necessary) and a better idea of the layout of the colony (much more useful).]

And generally Makai Knights don't get much pay outside of old money. Most of them in Ryuuga's time were vagabonds or lived in Makai-based villages.]
Alright, I'll meet you there.
[He won't complain as long as the food's good. Besides, good burgers usually were enough compensation for most bullshit.]

Ready to make your wallet a little lighter?
[metaphorical wallet, of course.]

And that's just an appetizer.
He laughs, nodding as Riku walks up to him.]
Bring it on.
